In a small town where everyone knows everyone, a peculiar incident starts a chain of events that leads to the disappearance of a child, which begins to tear at the fabric of an otherwise peaceful community. Dark government agencies and seemingly malevolent supernatural forces converge on the town, while a few of the locals begin to understand that there's more going on than meets the eye.

as a big inspiration for the music and style of the show. The Guest
(2014) also was a large inspiration for Strangers Thing's soundtrack and style. In fact the Duffers discovered the band "Survive" from seeing that movie. See more
At the end of chapter 6 Mike and Dustin set their bikes down outside of Mikes house with Dustin's bike on the left and Mike's on the right. In the beginning of chapter 7 when they are leaving Mike's house to escape, Dustin's bike is now on the right and Mike's is on the left. See more
