Trivia

Perhaps intentionally the film skips the 1965 World Sportscar Championship. Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby teamed to win the Daytona race that year in a Shelby Ford GT40 and finish second in the 12 Hours of Sebring. But Ferrari still won at Le Mans and no Fords finished. Ferrari also won that year's FIA International Trophy for GT Prototypes. 1966 would indeed prove the pivotal year for Ford v. Ferrari. See more »

Goofs

While pitching his racing idea, in 1963, Lee Iacocca notes that James Bond does not drive a Ford and shows a photo of Sean Connery next to an Aston Martin DB5. However, James Bond did not acquire the Aston Martin until Goldfinger. See more »

Lee Iacocca: Lee Iacocca, Ford Motors. Suppose Henry Ford II wanted to build the greatest race car the world's ever seen, to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans. What's it take?
Carroll Shelby: Well, it takes somethin' money can't buy.
Lee Iacocca: Well, it can buy speed.
Carroll Shelby: It isn't about speed.

All Gas, No Brakes

You have to have a big dump in your pants if all you're gonna do is complain about "historical inaccuracies" of a movie. Extremely entertaining film. Great cast, fun movie. Bale crushes it per usual.
