Syfy Sets ‘Zombie Tidal Wave’ With ‘Sharknado’ Star Ian Ziering
Ian Ziering is returning to Syfy, but don’t worry, it’s not another “Sharknado” film.

The cable network, home to all six of Ziering — and Tara Reid’s — “Sharknado” films, will premiere a new film starring and produced by Ziering: “Zombie Tidal Wave.” The feature is directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, who helmed the “Sharknado” films and stars Ziering as Hunter Shaw a “rogue, veteran sailor” who “contends with the ocean-borne outbreak which threatens his seaside island community.”

The film is first under the production deal between Ziering’s I.Man Productions and Darby Parker’s Stronghold Entertainment.

The Messy NBC Democratic Debate Proves the Need for a Tier System (Column)

The opening night of the first debates of the 2020 Democratic Party primaries brought — even by the standards of such way-far-out confrontations between candidates for whom the election remains a far-off dream — vastly more empty drama than new information. But then, that may have been by design.

NBC News’s organization of the debates, using a “purple” and an “orange” group of two groups, both mixed with top-tier contenders and undercard contenders, resulted in a lopsided staging at which one candidate placed in the middle also became an insurmountable center of gravity. Sen. Elizabeth Warren was effectively the only candidate onstage

The inaugural Democratic presidential forum of the 2020 election cycle found 10 contenders for the party’s nomination facing off at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. For two hours, the candidates — Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Bill de Blasio, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Jay Inslee, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, Tim Ryan and Elizabeth Warren — fielded questions from NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, Lester Holt and Chuck Todd, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Telemundo’s José Diaz-Balart.

The Amazing Race Finale Recap: Did Your Favorite Team Win Season 31?

The Amazing Race Finale Recap: Did Your Favorite Team Win Season 31?
Heading into its Season 31 finale on Wednesday, The Amazing Race had teed up quite the underdog story.

Big Brother veterans Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo cracked the final four in last week’s episode, making them the only non-Amazing Race duo left in the competition. And in the preceding weeks, they’d survived some drama with the Reilly sisters, narrowly avoided going home thanks to a non-elimination leg, managed to score standby plane tickets when all of the other flights were booked up and, most recently, prevailed after getting U-Turned by the Afghanimals.

Did Nicole and Victor eke out one

Younger Recap: Splitting Up Together

The looks on Liza and Kelsey’s faces say it all: No one in the publishing industry can be trusted. While the first two episodes of Younger‘s sixth season hinted that several characters have been keeping secrets from the Millennial duo, Wednesday’s installment confirmed those suspicions, leaving two of the show’s core couples in serious limbo.

Let’s start with Quinn, who apparently bought her book’s way onto The New York Times‘ Best Seller list via massive bulk orders and an unstoppable army of Chinese Twitter bots. Despite Quinn’s insistence that her intentions were pure,

NBC Hit With Technical Issues at Democratic Debate; Trump Blasts ‘Truly Unprofessional’ Network

NBC was left red-faced during Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debates when audio issues plagued moderators Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow.

The incident happened as Todd was about to ask Sen. Elizabeth Warren about gun control in the United States.

“We are hearing our colleague’s audio,” Todd said as voices could be heard offscreen in the auditorium.

Warren and other Democratic candidates appeared confused as the muffle noises continued.

“The control room can turn off the mics,” Maddow could be overheard saying. “If the control room can turn off the mics of the previous moderators.”

Handmaid's Tale's Stars and Ep on How They Pulled Off That Lincoln Memorial Fight (and Why Elisabeth Moss Might Want to Stay Out of D.C. for a While)
June’s trip to Washington, D.C., in this week’s The Handmaid’s Tale was full of horrifying revelations and soul-sucking confrontations. But shooting the episode’s ending on location in the United States capital, the show’s stars and executive producer say, was a damn near transcendent experience.

The hour culminated in June and Serena’s no-holds-barred verbal brawl inside the badly damaged Lincoln Memorial — in Gilead’s D.C., the 16th president is missing his head, among other body parts — which led into Fred’s huge media moment: Himself, Serena and June praying for baby Nichole’s
