Ratings: The CW’s "Roswell, New Mexico" Premiere Is Pretty Deserted

Ratings: The CW’s
If the truth is out there, it’s probably not watching The CW’s “Roswell, New Mexico” either.

Tuesday’s series premiere was the lowest-rated and least-watched hour on the English-language broadcast networks. That’s not entirely shocking given the channel and time slot, but it’s also not a particularly good start.

Back to their old ways, NBC and CBS split Tuesday as “This Is Us” and “NCIS” dominated primetime in their respective ways. That means NBC was No. 1 among adults 18-49 and CBS topped total viewers.

It's official: Julia Roberts' time in front of the cameras on Amazon's Homecoming has come to an end.

That said, Roberts will still remain involved as an executive producer alongside showrunner Sam Esmail on the Universal Cable Productions series that landed at Amazon with a two-season commitment.

It's unclear if there will be any other major cast departures for season two or if ...

Carell co-created the sitcom with Office exec producer Greg Daniels, who will serve as showrunner. Fellow Office vet Howard Klein has also come on board as an Ep.

In addition to Space Force, Carell is set to star opposite Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in Apple’s as-yet-untitled morning show drama,

Supergirl Promo Exposes Kara, Offers First Glimpse of Nia's Dreamer Suit

Supergirl returns from its holiday hiatus on Sunday (The CW, 8/7c) with the unmasking of one superhero and the highly anticipated birth of another. As revealed in a new promo for the midseason premiere, Colonel Haley will stop at nothing to learn Supergirl’s secret identity, a mission few others have successfully accomplished. And based on her final line (“Kara Danvers’ life is over”), I think it’s safe to say she succeeds.

The promo also heavily implies that Nia is finally about to embrace her own heroic destiny. Not only does Brainy invite her to become a “super friend,

‘Drunk History’: After 12 Years, Creator Derek Waters Only Drinks When Getting Paid

‘Drunk History’: After 12 Years, Creator Derek Waters Only Drinks When Getting Paid
Derek Waters has spent over a decade making drunk history. “It was just like, how do we six seasons and not let it get old? I want it to evolve,” he said.

Originally created as a Funny or Die web series in 2007, “Drunk History” has thrived on Comedy Central, educating the masses through reenactments of obscure and not-so-obscure history, as narrated by intoxicated storytellers.

While the fame quotient of the drunkards tends to be impressive, it’s the folks doing the reenactments who make this Comedy Central’s most star-studded series: Season 6 includes Evan Rachel Wood, Elijah Wood, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, Jack McBrayer, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Bilson, Amandla Stenberg, Alison Brie, Sugar Lyn Beard, and Josh Hartnett.

A not-insignificant part of that list is featured in the season premiere, which is framed around “Drunk History” mainstay Rich Fulcher telling Waters and guest star Kirby Howell-Baptiste the story of author

‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Producers Talked to 54 People, Because ‘This Isn’t One Person’s Story’

‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Producers Talked to 54 People, Because ‘This Isn’t One Person’s Story’
The executive producers behind “Surviving R. Kelly” might have released their record-breaking game-changing documentary, but they’re still incredibly busy. This is because of the mammoth reaction to the six-part series which premiered on Lifetime less than two weeks ago, which has since triggered a massive outcry against the titular singer, one well beyond their expectations.

“No one expected this sort of reaction,” Brie Miranda Bryant told IndieWire. “I think everybody is just trying to keep up with the momentum and thinking about what the future looks like, from both the creative standpoint and network standpoint.”

The making of “Surviving R. Kelly” began in the early summer of 2017, executive producer Jesse Daniels said, after he and fellow E.P. Tamra Simmons read several reported stories about the R&B singer’s alleged abuse of young women. (R. Kelly has denied all charges.)

While rumors about his behavior had been around for literal decades,

Julia Roberts Won’t Be Back for ‘Homecoming’ Season 2, but the Show Can Still Thrive Without Her

Julia Roberts Won’t Be Back for ‘Homecoming’ Season 2, but the Show Can Still Thrive Without Her
Let’s get this out of the way at the start: It would have been amazing to see what Julia Roberts continued to do in the role of Heidi Bergman, the caseworker at the heart of the Amazon series “Homecoming.” There aren’t many 2018 acting moments better than Roberts behind a desk at the end of the season’s ultra-pivotal Episode 8.

But news broke Wednesday morning that Roberts would not be returning to the show, leaving the existing ten episodes as the sole chronicle of her contributions. Perhaps this is an attempt to head off a flurry of Season 2 speculation at the Emmys Fyc tour that is almost certainly still coming later in the spring. But given the foundation the show has laid down in its freshman season, there’s still reason to believe the show can succeed in Roberts’ absence.

Series director Sam Esmail has been open about the
