Jennifer Lopez Talks Plans to Direct, 'Bye Bye Birdie Live!' Delay and 'World of Dance'
Jennifer Lopez and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas have a comfortable rapport. Sharing a couch in the stark white Universal Studios lot office of their Nuyorican Productions shingle, the 48-year-old CEO (more familiar as an international film, television and music star) eats a chicken salad, while her producing partner, 56, rattles through their colorful two-decade history and pauses only to steal a crouton off Lopez’s plate.

It’s an earned intimacy. The pair first worked together in 1998, when Goldsmith-Thomas, then an ICM agent, poached the multihyphenate from CAA. Goldsmith-Thomas has worn a variety of hats since: After a turn at ...

Our Top Five Action Comedy Movies of the 90s

One thing you can say about the 90’s, well there’s a lot of things actually, is that there were a Lot of action movies out there. In fact there were so many action movies made in this decade that a lot of them don’t even get the two seconds of notice it used to take to walk by them in the video store. You remember the video stores right? Those squat buildings that held VHS cassettes at one point and then switched to the slimmer DVD cases before they were made virtually extinct? Yeah, those. Anyway, once the long and

Five Must Watch Movies That Truly Depict The Hollywood Life

People that don’t know about how life in Hollywood can be are usually those that think that the movies accurately depict the lifestyles of so many in a very truthful manner. If you realize anything in this life however it should be that movies are commonly for entertainment and nothing else, and the truths they give are often embellished upon to great extent. That’s not to say that there’s nothing real about what they depict, but the average person living in Hollywood doesn’t really conform to the ideas that movies give in regards to how things work. The real lifestyles

Drag Race Recap: A Social Experiment Ends in Disaster for [Spoiler]
In the most gender-bending episode of the season, Thursday’s Drag Race found the six remaining queens butching themselves up before giving a gaggle of social media stars the makeover of their lives.

Mini Challenge: Butch It Up

This week’s mini challenge tasked the Top 6 with creating butch characters to advertise Trade, a new fragrance made from “essential oils found exclusively in truck stop restrooms.”

Winner: Eureka

I don’t often disagree with Mama Ru, but I thought it was pretty obvious from the start that Kameron “Smell All This Wood” Michaels had this challenge in the bag. Sure,

In the deleted scene below — which was later reshot due to production difficulties, co-creator Shawn Ryan explained on Twitter — the time travelers (played by Abigail Spencer and Matt Lanter) lock lips in a pool.

Ha! We had some production difficulties the night we filmed their first kiss in the pool, so we reshot the kiss in the guest house. #Timeless https://t.co/BZW4cqvooT

Why Martin Starr Would Rather Avoid Fame Altogether

It doesn’t seem like it would be right to say that Martin Starr isn’t as big of a celebrity as he seems to think, because quite honestly he’s been featured in some rather big name shows and movies. But it might be a little more accurate to say that if he did want to avoid fame altogether all he would have to do is step away from the spotlight. Unless you watch the show Silicon Valley or remember him from Freaks and Geeks you might not know who he is at all without looking up his accomplishments. He does have

Jim Jefferies Reveals the Secret Behind Brad Pitt’s Weatherman Appearances — Turn It On Podcast

Jim Jefferies Reveals the Secret Behind Brad Pitt’s Weatherman Appearances — Turn It On Podcast
Jim Jefferies has a secret to tell about Brad Pitt. The movie actor has shown up several times on Comedy Central’s “The Jim Jefferies Show” as its unofficial weatherman, casually sharing the horrors of climate change. But here’s the truth: Pitt hasn’t dropped by in a year.

“This is the one that went viral, even though it was recorded a year ago,” Jefferies said of a recent Brad Pitt segment. The show had leftover footage of Brad doing a LeBron James joke, which felt timely because of the NBA playoffs. Slayer guitarist Kerry King happened to be on set, so they put him in front of a green screen, and it looked like the musician was a fan trying to talk to him.

“And then Gayle King is on the news going, ‘Wow, Brad Pitt must really love Jim Jefferies, he’s back on the show!’ I

Someone managed to get Detective Frank Pembleton back in the box.

Members of the cast and production team of the critically acclaimed NBC drama “Homicide: Life on the Street” came together at the Paley Center in New York to talk about the distinctive drama that flouted many of the conventions of network TV. The main focus of the show, which ran between 1993 and 1999, was on how Baltimore police detectives passed the time while trying to solve murders. But there were few car chases, shootings or dramatic arrest scenes. “Every episode was like an affront to network television,” noted Andre Braugher,

The Evolution of Kelly Macdonald From Trainspotting to Now

Kelly Macdonald has come a long way from her role as underage seductress Diane in Trainspotting. Back then it might have been believed that she would find a few roles and then move on out of Hollywood’s spotlight, perhaps being seen as little more than a flash in the pan. But Kelly managed to hold onto her career and continued onward towards other roles that will be mentioned in just a bit. Emmy Season Faces #MeToo for the First Time

Just two and a half weeks after the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards came to a close, the New York Times published its bombshell, Pulitzer Prize-winning expose on movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s history of sexual harassment and assault. The episode and its fallout launched the #MeToo movement, emboldening survivors to step forward with their own stories, which have brought down other high-profile names along the way.

That makes this Emmy season, and the forthcoming 70th annual ceremony on Sept. 17, the first to wrangle with the new reality of how such misdeeds are addressed in Hollywood. Already, that reality is shaping the race somewhat.
