‘The Shrink Next Door’: Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd to Reunite For Small Screen Dark Comedy
While it won’t be for a third “Anchorman” movie — at least, not as of yet — Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd will be back together again. Only this time around, it will be on the small screen, with Mrc Television’s dark comedy limited series “The Shrink Next Door.”

Based on the 2019 Wondery and Bloomberg Media podcast of the same name — which was inspired by true events — “The Shrink Next Door” focuses on the bizarre relationship between a psychiatrist to the stars, Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf, and his longterm patient, Martin “Marty” Markowitz. What starts as a normal doctor-patient dynamic slowly turns into the all-too-charming Ike (Rudd) taking over Marty’s (Ferrell) life. From moving into Marty’s home to take over his family business, “The Shrink Next Door” is a tale of dysfunction and manipulation.

Though both men are more known for their film work, Rudd recently starred on

‘Gentefied’ on Netflix: TV Review

‘Gentefied’ on Netflix: TV Review
The Los Angeles that TV and movies portray is rarely, as anyone who’s actually from Los Angeles can tell you, particularly accurate to life there outside the entertainment industry. The sprawling city is dense with its own culture, much of which, thanks to sharp influxes money and new (whiter) residents, is perpetually in danger of getting pushed out. Netflix’s new comedy “Gentefied,” from creators Marvin Lemus and Linda Yvette Chávez based on their 2017 webseries of the same name, aims to spotlight the very people who keep getting relegated to the margins of their own city. Showtime Programming Strategy to ‘Evolve’ as RuPaul, Bet Brands Added to Mix
Changes are afoot for Showtime as the newly enlarged ViacomCBS scrutinizes its $13 billion in content spending across the company.

ViacomCBS on Thursday unveiled plans to rebrand the Showtime Showcase channel — one of a handful of secondary channels in the Showtime group — as Sho Bet to feature scripted series aimed at African-American audiences.
